A raccoon slips from his branch but somehow manage to get back to main tree branch. The drama was captured by Jack Milchanowski, a retired airline pilot turned photographer.
Two raccoons perched on a branch while basking in the sunshine...
...but then disaster, as one of the raccoons moved too quickly and slipped from the branch. He tried to get back to the branch but failed.

| The raccoon had lost its footing. He tried to regain his balance, even reaching for his mate's tail but it was useless. His mate also tried to assist by offering a helpful paw. |
He ended up swinging from a much thinner branch by one paw. By this stage his mate had disappeared, maybe she couldn't bring herself to watch him fall.

But the raccoon was not giving up easily. He somehow managed to grab the branch with his sharp claws...

...and wriggle back onto the main branch before hauling himself back up.

Both raccoons were safely tucked up in a cosy nook of the tree's trunk.
